ICE joins Cannes Yachting Festival with Icebreaker Magazine as Media Partner

Icebreaker Magazine at Cannes Yachting Festival

September is reserved for one of the biggest and most exclusive boat shows – the Cannes Yachting Festival. From 9 to 14 September 2025, the Côte d’Azur will once again host Europe’s largest in-water boat show, bringing together yacht builders, brokers, and international professionals.

A big milestione for International Charter Expo

This year is extra special for us. Icebreaker Magazine is proud to be an official media partner of the Cannes Yachting Festival for the first time. Our team will present two of our leading projects: International Charter Expo (ICE) and Icebreaker Magazine.

International Charter Expo is the world’s largest B2B yacht charter event, connecting fleet operators, brokers, and suppliers in one place. By visiting Cannes, we continue our mission to grow the yacht charter industry and build valuable connections between professionals worldwide.

At the Cannes Yachting Festival, visitors can discover more than 600 exhibitors and 700 boats, from luxury superyachts to innovative electric and hybrid models. The show is divided between Vieux Port, focused on motor yachts, and Port Canto, which showcases sailing yachts, smaller powerboats, and brokerage offers.

One of the highlights of the Festival is the Innovation Route, where companies present new eco-friendly technologies such as hybrid propulsion, sustainable materials, and smart design solutions. This focus on sustainability makes the Cannes Yachting Festival not only a luxury event but also a place where the future of yachting is shaped.

What our clients say about us

What our clients say about us

At the International Charter Expo we welcome the most influential names in the yacht charter industry, bringing them together in one place for three days of meetings, networking and new opportunities. It is a unique event where business grows from real connections and where the international yachting community meets face to face. Our participants share their experiences best.

New contacts in the industry

For Stefano Pastrovich from Pastrovich Studio (Italy), ICE opened doors to completely new contacts in the industry. “We finally met people from the charter industry. Brokers and charter companies. This is the first time that brokers and charter companies will see us and will see that they can buy an end product for them to charter.”

Most operationally sound show in yachting

From Australia, Mike Sager of Ankor Software, underlines the business results. “Our most commercially successful event of the year. We get the chance to meet customers all in one place, which would not be possible without ICE. I would say the most operationally sound show in yachting.

What our clients say about us

120 productive meetings in 3 days thanks to Handshake

From Greece, Fani Leschopoulou of Athenian Yachts explains how the Handshake App makes a difference. “We had 120 meetings. That would not be possible without Handshake. Because we get more organised, we prepare for the meetings, we know who we will meet. I think it is important to have this tool.

Ideal platform for a global company to connect

Ali Can Aray from Sana Sailing (Turkey) values the personal connections and the chance to strengthen relationships. “It is nice to see the familiar faces from the market and evaluate the season.”

From the Netherlands, Anne De Vries of Tubber.com has made ICE a constant in his calendar. “In 10 years I have never missed ICE. It is very easy to meet people from all over the world in just three days. It helped me to increase bookings, to get new partners and to get connected easily.

Lorena Franjić, MMK Systems – Booking Manager (Croatia), sees ICE as the ideal platform for a global company to connect. “We are a global company and we are operating on the global market. This is a great opportunity for us to meet with all of our partners.”

And from Sri Lanka, Chanaka Gamage of Sail Lanka says, “We are the only charter company in Sri Lanka, so ICE gave us good support when it comes to the international market.”

These voices from across the world show the strength of ICE as a place where the yacht charter industry meets, works and grows together. Whether it is about making first contacts, nurturing partnerships or closing deals, ICE remains the place where it all happens.

Five ways to impress your business partners

Five ways to impress your business partners

When it comes to trade shows, one thing is certain. At the International Charter Expo your booth is your stage. With the right position and a warm, welcoming setup, you can be sure your visibility will stand out. Over the three days of ICE you will have countless opportunities for business meetings, so your booth should not only represent your brand but also create a comfortable space for productive conversations. Here are the top five ways to make a lasting impression on your business partners in the yacht charter industry.

Graphics

Visuals are the first thing visitors notice and they should tell the story of your brand. At ICE we use graphics made from recycled materials, including fabrics from past events. This sustainable choice reduces waste while giving your visuals a unique story that captures the attention of business partners. Lightweight and compact, they are easy to transport and can be reused in any office or home after the event.

Furniture

Your booth is more than a display. It is a meeting space. From armchairs and leather sofas to tables and bar stools the furniture you choose will shape the atmosphere of your conversations. Comfortable seating shows that you value your partner’s time while the layout of your space can encourage open discussion. Select pieces that reflect both your hospitality and your brand identity within the yacht charter industry.

Five ways to impress your business partners

Plants

Small details make a big difference. Adding greenery to your booth creates a fresh inviting environment and shows that you pay attention to details. Plants bring life and warmth to the space helping partners feel more at ease.

TV

Sometimes explaining your products or services verbally is not enough. A TV screen offers the perfect way to showcase your work visually. Whether it is a promotional video or a professional presentation having your content playing ensures visitors can quickly understand what you do even if you are in the middle of another conversation.

Fridge

Offering ice cold drinks or local treats to your visitors shows you value their comfort and time, and give them a touch of your country and tradition. It is a small gesture that leaves a big impact reinforcing the message that you appreciate your partners in the yacht charter industry.
